When you need an escape, a chance to slow down and recharge, enjoy Pleasant Grove's 1844 fully renovated estate, complete with mid-century modern furnishings and surrounded by beautiful scenery and endless serenity. Pleasant Grove perfectly captures the charm of by-gone days with the luxury of modern living. There is much to do on the farm and in the local area! Enjoy visiting the garden. Take a walk or bike ride on our forest trails. Check out the zip line, go fishing in our private, stocked lake or feed the chickens. Bird watching is quite a treat and we provide binoculars and bird books. Star gazing is spectacular at night and we have a wonderful fire pit and hot tub to top off the night!
Local Attractions
Pleasant Grove is conveniently located in the heart of Central Virginia with easy access to the wonders of the Blue Ridge Mountains 30 miles to the west. Lake Anna Reservoir is 20 miles to the North. Historic homes, such as Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home, is within 30 miles of the farm and civil war battlefields lie in nearly every direction. Train access to Washington DC is available 30 miles away. Five minutes away is a vintage family-oriented drive-in theater. The Louisa County Cultural Arts Center and Historical Society are 20 miles away. King's Dominion is 28 miles. The exceptional, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens is 36 miles away. The Freckled Flower Farm is 17 miles. Vineyards abound around the area as well.
Richmond attractions are as close as 25 minutes away.

Accommodations
Just opened in 2024, Pleasant Grove offers 5 tastefully appointed Grand Suites, with unobstructed views of the surrounding land. Suites are complete with new beds and luxury linens as well as private sitting areas and TV. For those who insist on working, each room also has a desk and wifi.
