Relax in the large outdoor hot tub, gather around the stone fire pit under the stars, or sip your morning coffee while overlooking cultivated fields and historic barns. Explore the property’s private lake and two smaller ponds, stroll the gentle farm road, or find solitude in the grove—perfect for meditation or yoga. You'll also enjoy birdwatching, stargazing, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by nature.
Local Attractions
Pleasant Grove is conveniently located in the heart of Central Virginia with easy access to the wonders of the Blue Ridge Mountains 30 miles to the west. Lake Anna Reservoir is 20 miles to the North. Historic homes, such as Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home, is within 30 miles of the farm and civil war battlefields lie in nearly every direction. Train access to Washington DC is available 30 miles away. Five minutes away is a vintage family-oriented drive-in theater. The Louisa County Cultural Arts Center and Historical Society are 20 miles away. King's Dominion is 28 miles. The exceptional, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens is 36 miles away. The Freckled Flower Farm is 17 miles. Vineyards abound around the area as well.
Richmond attractions are as close as 25 minutes away.

Guests booking a private room will have access to the kitchen for breakfast only (with access to farm fresh eggs), while guests reserving the entire house will enjoy full kitchen access for all meals during their stay. Please note that breakfast is not provided. For other dining options, you’ll find excellent local restaurants nearby, including Rhett's, Tavern on the Rail, Los Panchos, Obrigado, and Country Boys Restaurant, offering everything from classic American comfort food to authentic Mexican cuisine. Many other options are also withint driving distance in either Charlottesville or Richmond.
Accommodations
Just opened in 2024, Pleasant Grove offers 5 tastefully appointed Grand Suites, with unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape. Suites are complete with new beds and luxury linens as well as private sitting areas and TV. For those who insist on working, each room also has a desk and wifi. Come and enjoy everything this farm retreat has to offer.
